Srinagar, Apr 18 (KNO) : Terming the current political situation in Jammu and Kashmir as highly volatile and gruesome in the garb of excessive use of brute force to calm down the genuine slogans for the right to self-determination raised by the people of Kashmir, especially the youth belonging to the third generation of the suppressed nation, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehraie in a statement condemned the frequent use of all repressive measures by Indian occupation forces on the peaceful protest marches organized by the freedom loving people of Kashmir.

Giving details of atrocities perpetrated by the police forces in the nook and corner, Islamabad, Kulgam, Shopian, Budgam, Sopore, Baramulla and Kupwara of the Jammu and Kashmir state, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman said that the young students, both male and female ones of Islamabad Degree college were forced to face a war like situation when the men in uniform resorted, without any provocation, to brisk teargas shelling and cane-charge, which caused injuries to the dozens of innocent students. He further said that raids and widespread arrests spree- son for father and brother for brother- is a tailored ploy to demand ransom for their release. Hailing the high spirits and the moral and courage of the people of Kashmir especially the young generation, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader said the unbending resolve and invincible commitment for the sacred goal of freedom movement displayed by the people of Kashmir irrespective of the high handedness and use of barbarism by Indian occupation forces has created a matchless history in the contemporary world.

The TeH Chairman while expressing his utmost satisfaction on the positive role played by our young generation, categorically said that no movement in the world history has been defeated by the imperialistic and aggressive forces that have been launched by the pious and young people with par excellent conviction and firm faith in their cherished goal. The Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader demanded a positive role of United Nations Human Rights Divisions to take cognizance of the gross human rights violations at the hands of Indian occupation forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
